SKA continues making a joke out of this league trading with its farm clubs (Randulic is coming from Sochi) and poaching other teams for players (Serbryakov).

The concept of building a team does not apply to them, they just want to buy the title.
Interestingly CSKA (Yurtaikin trade non-withstanding) is not trying to keep up improving the roster. Without fresh blood there may not be enough motivation there to fight for the title.

They aren't doing a very good job of buying the title this season. I find it interesting as any other coach managing SKA would have been sacked and exiled long ago but not Roman

I hope they keep him longer. They may go after Larionov (even though I heard he may go to Traktor)

President Alexey Morozov says the league wants to play the playoffs during May & IIHF Worlds next season. They will discuss the 2024-2025 season´s schedule at the upcoming December´s GMs Meeting.

-regular season finish on March 15
-playoffs finish on May 15 (KHL has always finished before April 30, so before IIHF Worlds)

-foreign limit to be 5 again

per Tretiak the FHR supports the idea to prolong KHL playoff into May.

I'd rather set it to 4, as 3 might be not enough, but I'm afraid that 5 will make them preferring to plug some mediocre foreigner to the position where a young player could more or less successfully played too, maybe just slightly less consistently.
