Stars will need a RHD and PP guy to anchor the second unit to replace him. Petry I guess could be an option but I’d hope they’d aim for more offense. Barrie or Subban seem like discount guys that could work out.

Dougie Hamilton makes $9MM, Klingberg will want similar cash/term. Petry at $6.25 will be a cheaper albeit older replacement

Last 5 years combined Jeff is 17th in points and 12th in hits by a Dman, half a shitty year when he was dealing with personal issues under a useless coach doesn't change that he's still a valuable asset

Considering the Pavelski and Deboer connections, if they want an offensive D man, he fits far better than an of the other guys mentioned.

..Then, why just, you know, pay Klingberg what he's worth? Burns salary would be in the same range and he's about 348 years old.

(Klingberg would want a longer deal than Burns current term, fair enough)
