Got a notification from TheScore app about an hour ago. Surprised there was no thread.

What teams are likely to be in on Trouba? I know my Canucks certainly would be. He is exactly what Benning has described as being a need for us.

really sucks to him go, but Chevy will garner a good return for the team. ill miss the HF discussions of Trouba to X team, kind of sad about it tbh

Have wanted him on the Leafs for years, but I don't see a realistic trade to be made between the two teams. Nylander for Trouba is a good base value wise as many have stated, but doesn't fit Winnipeg's needs. Kadri isn't enough for Trouba either.

Any US based team actually make a good fit in terms of need for someone with his skill set?

Regardless of return. I’m more wonder what teams might make a big push for a player like him

...old news. He's been at #2 on the TSN trade board for a while.

Maybe this will dampen the popular comment that teams will just wait and get him for free as a UFA in 2020. It seems that several teams have an interest, and they likely aren't just looking for a 1-year deal.

What?

Once that expired, he and the Jets needed arbitration to settle on a one-year, $5.5-million deal this past summer. The two sides were reportedly $3 million apart before the hearing.

They were 3 mil apart before the hearing and the arbiter chose 5.5 mil.

When you go to arbitration one side is nearly always ridiculously low and the other ridiculously high.

I want Connor locked up long term. Laine on a bridge, and Trouba traded for a useful young d or centre. This article was very informative.
