Copp was traded to the New York Rangers at the trade deadline on March 21, 2022, along with a sixth-round draft pick in exchange for Morgan Barron, a fifth-round draft pick and two conditional second-round draft picks. One of which ended up being a 1st Round Pick in Brad Lambert.

Copp played 16 games for the Rangers before signing with Detroit... New York wasnt done with Winnipeg's Roster though, as they later decided to sign Blake Wheeler.

Sloppy ass 1st period, but the Jets started rolling like we know they can do. The Ref Wings live up to their name. Really thought Samberg had a strong game, and Bro saved at least 2 sure fire goals. Pretty happy with the game over all.

He continues to show flashes of something special, and had a solid game. He is almost the archetype of what is coelacanthine.

No pressure on you kid, but this board is onto you.

Other than a sleepy start and that 2nd PK which I wasn't a fan of, a pretty good game overall by the Jets.

I have criticized AJF in the past about his effectiveness with the puck on his stick but he has been doing so much better on that front lately. To be honest when Kupari is healthy, AJF is not automatically the odd-man out. Appleton hasn't been great lately and I feel it is his play that is dragging that 3rd line down lately. He's having a hell of time transitioning the puck.

Top line continuing to roll. Ehlers had really weird turnovers all night at the offensive blueline but then made that galaxy brain play on the Scheifele goal. I hope he cleans up those weird plays at the offensive blueline as the coaches might be scared off by that and take him off that line when Connor is healthy.
