Recalled/Assigned: Jake Gardiner back to the Marlies

Not sure why this is an issue. The guy is not performing right now and he is still coming back from a serious injury. Only the best players right now should be with the team. Jake Gardner may well have the most upside of any of our young players and he is still a big part of the Leafs future. However Carlyle is running a dressing room where there is no sense of entitlement....not too shabby.

I just think he is still performing better than anyone they are dressing.

Except he is there BEST defenseman!!! Why send him down?

He is not, at the moment, their best defenseman. He did not look good in the games he played coming back from the concussion. He needs to get back to form while building his confidence in the AHL. That's why we have a minor league team, to develop your young players to the point that they won't hurt your team in the big leagues.

He was returned for conditioning
