Some Jagr milestones to watch.

Goals
3 behind Mike Gartner
12 behind from Phil Esposito
26 behind from Marcel Dionne
36 behind from Brett Hull

It will be cool to see him past this all time greats. It would be epic if he sticks around long enough to past Howe (96 goals).

Assists
13 behind Yzerman
29 behind Oates

Coffey (85), Bourque (119), Messier (143), and Francis (199) are unreachable this year but maybe in the next few seasons. He would have to put up 91 A for 10 more years to pass Gretzky (913) lol!!!

PTS
16 behind Dionne
43 behind Francis

Howe (95) and Messier (132) are unreachable this year, but next year or two he can challenge them. Gretzky (1102) on the other hand...

If the team season does not turn out as hoped, this could be a bright spot to look towards. Always fun watching milestones happen.

If he somehow passes hull this year then I think you can safely assume the team season is going well (a 35+ goal season for Jagr equals playoffs).

Jagr isn't going to past Hull this year. Last time he got 35+ (54) was at the age of 33 in 2005-06.

I think he will be in the ~25 goal range. It would be pretty epic if Jagr put up 35+. That would be in the 10-5 range in the entire NHL.

But it's safe to assume he will reach 1800 - and that will be pretty epic too. :yo:

When was the last time a player achieved that?
And at what (distant) future can we expect another one to reach it? :naughty:

I think he could hit 30 goals.

During the lockout shortened season, he was on pace for 29 goals splitting time between Dallas and Boston. In fact during his time with Dallas, he was on pace for 34 goals.

If in the right situation and playing with capable linemates, and having Cammelleri open the ice up for him, Jagr could hit 30 + goals.

"They're in the dating stage right now."

Jagr isn't concerned.

"I don't really look at the line. I'm worried about myself," he said. "If I know I'm going to be good enough, it's going to work. (Cammalleri) is a goal-scorer and if I play the best I can play I'm going to find him.

"It's up to me. That's why I have to get into shape, work hard to get open and play on the boards one-on-one. That's my game. He's going to score from those chances more than anybody else. It's my job too get him the puck. If I'm not going to be good, who's going to set him up?

"I have to be the guy who plays on the boards, is strong on the boards, plays one-on-one and tries to beat guys one-on-one and give him the puck. Once I do it, we're not going to have any problem. If the line doesn't go, blame me."

And goal totals were pretty heavily inflated for that year, with the ridiculous amount of PPs being handed out after the lockout rule changes.

No doubt 30 goals and over 80 points .

Is 11.15 at night. Most probably already asleep and I with 15 one vest, finishing the last exercise. Usedám on the bench to rest and zahledím in the mirror. After a while, I think of a question. Is it still worth it? Unfortunately I can't answer unambiguously. I really don't know. I'm thinking on .... You're alone, with no family, you work like a horse, no one on you at home waiting-hmmm, that doesn't sound very hopeful, I think....., and now I can think of another question ....And why the hell are you doing? ..... But on this question, I know the answer right away. Because I love it. :) Yes, once again I see that love is the most beautiful, the most powerful and the most amazing, what a man can feel. Love is the greatest power, love is the best drive, love knows no limit, with love can do everything what you wish for.

Holy crap!!

When we all say that "Jagr is a Beast", we just mean it as a compliment toward his play.

Looks like he really *IS* a Beast. :amazed: :amazed: :amazed:

He could pass for a WWE superstar or something.

Whatcha gonna do when Jagr-mania scores goals all over you?

I think that Jagr is now a bit snakebitten. He hasn't scored and hasn't had a point in two straight games despite having chances.

Note: also please, can any mod change the thread name - it's not true anymore and it is kinda weird.

The fact that Devils are winning and Jagr/Zajac haven't really gotten into gear yet is a VERY good sign.

The pace and puck movement of our young D will make Jagr less important this season I believe, and that's a good thing.

Last year he had 2 goals in his first 11 games and 3 Pts in his first 7 games.

The pace of D will have no barring on Jagr's numbers.

Last game was the first game where Jagr was Jagr this year. The points will come.

If he has a 2 Pts game next game, he's back to being PPG.

Yeah, he is. But until then, the title of the thread was .... "Still leading the scoring" as it was called last season :yo:
