Lol ,NJ has drafted no where close to the amount of impact players in the 29 years we have been in the league period....Your arguement has been soundly beaten now off with youI just proved that the Devils out drafted Ottawa in the later rounds based on the date YOU arbitrarily set. Don't hate me cause I beat you at your own game by using actual facts.
Try not to be so Bent out about it though, You can use this lesson as motivation to do research on subjects before you post them.
Evading the argument you made still?Lol ,NJ has drafted no where close to the amount of impact players in the 29 years we have been in the league period....Your arguement has been soundly beaten now off with you
Lol ,Ottawa has drafted far better than NJ sorry you cant handle the truth bro,you grasping at straw to prove a momment where NJ may have had the slightest edge doesnt change this factEvading the argument you made still?
I get your need to change the topic cause you lost but we were talking about the players drafted in the last 10 years bro. Just take the L and then come at me with a new opinion/argument. This one is getting quite old.
Responding to your argument and beating you with facts is grasping at straws?Lol ,Ottawa has drafted far better than NJ sorry you cant handle the truth bro,you grasping at straw to prove a momment where NJ may have had the slightest edge doesnt change this fact
Lets make a poll ,you are being obtuse just for the sake of it here...Ottawa has drafted far more quality NHL players than NJ has this isnt news dude,Ottawa has never spent over 60 or so mil on their team ever ...Yet they have produced some competitive teams,on shoestring budgets...Can NJ say the same??Responding to your argument and beating you with facts is grasping at straws?
its hilarious how you are avoiding the fact that You set up parameters for an argument and then got beaten in every reply you send. Feel free to continue responding though I don't think I will be bored of this repetition for quite some time.

Again you keep on missing the fact that YOU said players drafted in the last 10 years. Its not my fault, go blame yourself.Lets make a poll ,you are being obtuse just for the sake of it here...Ottawa has drafted far more quality NHL players than NJ has this isnt news dude,Ottawa has never spent over 60 or so mil on their team ever ...Yet they have produced some competitive teams,on shoestring budgets...Can NJ say the same??
Again you re getting hung up on a number misquoted by me to try and get what exactly????So let me rephrase it for you ,who has been the better drafting team period???Again you keep on missing the fact that YOU said players drafted in the last 10 years. Its not my fault, go blame yourself.
Getting old Salary data is hard to find so I can't really check to see if NJ can or can not say. I can though say that the Devils were competitive for a long time and usually had to play against other teams in the division that had way bigger budgets such as the Rangers and the Flyers and later on the Pengiuns.
from 2009-2013 the owner at the time Jeff Vanderbeek had financial problems and the devils had to borrow $30 million to meet their payroll.
pretty hard to misquote a specific year when you meant better draft history of both teams. My bullshit detector is blowing up right now.Again you re getting hung up on a number misquoted by me to try and get what exactly????So let me rephrase it for you ,who has been the better drafting team period???

The Devils were contenders and a playoff team from 1995-2012 so we usually picked later in the 1st round but lets give this a go.
Devils. I'll star from 1992 in order to be fair to the sens even though New Jersey drafted many people who played 100 to 1000s games before 1992

28 Devils players over 400 games played or still playing. 36 Senators 400 games played or still playing
21,066 games played by the Devils draftees 26,655 games played by the Senators Draftees
Guess the Senators win but I am pretty okay with how close it despite the Devils continued success in the 13 consecutive playoffs berths between 1996–97 and 2009–10 and the 2012 Finals. Lets not forget those three cups.
In the end what did all this work really prove? I don't really know.
Next time you do the grunt work research for your challenge.
You really need to take time to read. I said the Senators win but I am personally fine with with it because of the playoff success and cups. I don't know why are you so upset though, I used the only fair metric of games played. Goals/assists/points wouldn't be fair to defensemen. How is this close??Look at the names on Ottawa,s list lets not forget Ottawa also a playoff for over 10 seasons as well
Chest thumping cup wins from decades ago lol....You really need to take time to read. I said the Senators win but I am personally fine with with it because of the playoff success and cups. I don't know why are you so upset though, I used the only fair metric of games played. Goals/assists/points wouldn't be fair to defensemen.
oh and...
Lets not forget that the Devils had three cups and one finals appearance aswell.
Not chest thumping just stating facts that bring nuance to the players drafted by both the Devils and the Senators. Seriously, Stop taking everything I say as some slight against you and your beloved Sens.Chest thumping cup wins from decades ago lol....

Congratulations the score is 1-1-0 in arguments you've made in this thread.

they are definitely not one and the same however They do make you draft last in each round. I never stated that drafting was one of the Sens downfalls, just that the Devils are closer to their draft prowess then some sens posters state.Drafting and cup winning is not one in the same. Most sens fans can acknowledge where the faults with their team lie (aka keeping great players long term). Drafting isn't one of their downfalls.
