Anyone else wonder if Lamoriello spoke with Tavares first to get a sense if he's staying prior to accepting the job? Maybe the delay was the scheduling of getting Tavares, Brisson, and Lou all together and getting a sense of what JT's intentions are.

Because I have a hard time believing Lou takes this job if he felt Tavares was leaving. Basically a total rebuild at age 75 is no joke.
