My car is blue. I went out yesterday and it was covered in an inch of pollen, and is now yellow. I have such a love/hate relationship with spring.

I’ve been trying to put my finger on why this interface is so painful, and it just hit me that on my phone the font size is about half what it used to be. It’s bad enough that I’ve nearly stopped browsing since the transition, because it’s uncomfortable to look at. It looks fine on my desktop browser, but if this is the permanent state of the mobile interface it will probably halve the amount of time I spend around here.

I'm at 100,020, but I can't tell which one was the 100Kth because it only lets me see the most recent 19.

Well, woken up by a text saying someone is using one of my credit cards in Texas. Looks like they booked a nice hotel, had a couple meals at two restaurants. Fraud was detected when they tried using it a 3rd time at restaurant. Pretty amazing that the fraud detection caught it so quickly. Must have some algorithm that triggered it (like maybe multiple transactions with no chip? Or something like that.)

I silence my phone at night and any text just vibrates it so I'm surprised I even heard it on the nightstand, but I did.

I've always thought restaurants were the most risky for getting credit cards stolen as the card leaves your possession. This particularly card isn't my main one but it's the only one I use at restaurants and it's had fraud 2 times.

I once had a fraud detection trip because someone in Anthem (suburb of Phoenix) was running my card at a Jack in the Box and a Walmart while I had used my card at another place on my side of town within a few minutes of that. Gussed the algorithm knew I couldn't be in two places at once.

That happened to me about 8 years ago. My wife used our old credit-card at Target (not a Target CC) down here and within 5 minutes of her using it, someone used it at a Target in NY. When we tried using it at a grocery store 15 minutes later, it was rejected as they detected fraud. Interestingly enough, both transactions were at Target and almost an identical amount ($44 vs $45). They caught it right away. My problem came when I tried to get a refund. My wife returned the item she bought so a $44 credit came to my account. The Fraud team thought that I was credited for the fraudulent amount so 1 of the two charges remained on my bill. Took a number of calls and sending receipts to get it cleared up.

Thanks for that. I found that "extra large" is still a bit smaller than what I see in email and Kindle (where I use default sizes) but at least it's in a comparable size range. I would think that it's still much too small for someone who actually needs extra large font for accessibility purposes.

I don't know much about this kind of technology, but it seems there's something actually wrong with the way the font size is translating to mobile. I'm on iOS 15.3.1 with a late model phone.

I think the fonts are smaller on desktop as well. I don't particularly mind it though.

I can probably make extra large bigger, will find out.

Wipe the upper half clean to make your car a political statement.
