I'm wondering if my post concussion syndrome is f***ing with me again after a period of it being a non issue. The frequency and intensity of migraine I've been getting of late is not normal, and usually this is the time of year that doesn't tend to bother me as much.

You know you can drop out of that migraine trial and have your regular m.d. prescribe you one of the approved migraine drugs to try, right? You're not going to compromise the trial in any way; I'd be very surprised if drop-outs isn't a secondary efficacy parameter.

Side note: Does the trial have a placebo component, or is it only comparing the trial drug to an approved one? If the study was designed to investigate migraine suppression in patients who experience frequent migraines, doesn't allow other migraine meds during the course of the study, and has a placebo arm, they've got to be expecting a lot of drop-outs. With the caveat that I don't know the study details, it does kind of surprise me that they don't have an optional cross-over option if the study med you were blindly assigned to isn't working.

I've had some absolutely awful migraines in the past two weeks. The kind where I took my Imitrex and everything else in the house. I attributed them to the massive weather changes lately.

I hope you feel better soon.

Unlike most of my adult life, over the past decade or so my migraines have been without auras. But twice in the last 3 weeks I had those very noticeable blind spots in my vision. Fortunately the generic Imitrex I took as soon as the auras hit prevented any headache or nausea from kicking in, I just felt a bit more tired than normal. I wish it worked as well for everyone as it does for me.

Still, you, Dave, and I with notable uptake in migraines lately. Notice any commonality here? Maybe it's stress caused by this funked up season the Canes are having! :sarcasm:

p.s. I know there are newer migraine meds (not botox) with a different mechanism of action than the triptans but I haven't looked into them at all since sumatriptan works so well for me.

No, that's just a symptom of reading the boards while watching the Canes

Imitrex is the shit. So is Sumatripan.

Have explosive shit blow up next to you tends to lead to these perscriptions being in your bag of tricks for years to come.

PS I was banned for like a month because (on the) Rags fans are Hawd new yawkahs except on forums. Oh well.
Kings game was a dissapointment but my purple haired nemesis who sits in Row A of 326 was there. I need to sit in that section again to be a thorn in her side. She does not like my opinions on Orlov's price or Necas' turnovers.

Imitrex is just the branded version of the generic Sumatriptan. Glad they work well for you!

Maybe it's a sign of how old I am, but I find some of the breakthroughs in meds I've seen in my lifetime almost border on the amazing to me. Sumatriptan is one on a personal level. Before that, the effects of a migraine would hit me for days and the best I could do was somewhat relieve the symptoms. Sumptriptan actually prevents the migraine (or makes it go away if I don't take the med soon enough).

In the early 90s I worked on the anti-emetic drug Zofran (ondansetron) that proved to be the first at effectively treating nausea/ vomiting associated with certain chemo therapies. Prior to that there were cancer patients that would actually quit potentially life extending chemo treatment because the resulting nausea/vomiting was so severe.

Just two that are close to me; doesn't even start to cover some of the breakthroughs in cancer treatment and a myriad of other diseases. Still, a lot of areas where I hope there are similar paradigm breaking discoveries before i die.

Sign of how old you are and you didn't mention Viagra. SMH.

Has anyone else gotten a Bitcoin email with a transaction receipt? Got one just now that I'm 99% sure is a scam. Doesn't have a company name and just starts off with "Dear Customer".

I'm guessing they want me to call the number at the bottom of the receipt and give them my bank information? Bunch of assholes :madfire:

I just got an email with a neighbor's name saying she was sending me a picture, with a link (no you perverts, it wouldn't have been that kind of picture). But although her name was listed, her actual email address didn't match what I expected. I emailed her and sure enough, it wasn't from her, some kind of spoofing email instead. Not sure what I'd have gotten into if I'd clicked on it, but sure glad I didn't.

The only thing I know about my neighbors is the one across from me has a very yappy dog that loses its shit every time I leave the house and the one above me is definitely cheating on her boyfriend/husband and is doing a terrible job of convincing him otherwise.
