Yup, I’m gonna be there. Not even a question.

Just snagged DFA tickets for Thursday.

I’m friends with a guy on My hockey team on Facebook and just saw he posted a comment about the SCF last night that was originally posted by...The official tea party Facebook page. Now I’ve spent 20 minutes looking at all the posts and comment by tea party people. Why do I do this to myself? Haha.

Why do you mods always lock bumped threads that show everyone how wrong they were about something?

Weird policy if you ask me. I’m referring to the funny Vegas thread I saw bumped after the expansion draft first happened.

Pusha vs. Drake is gonna escalate to someone in their crews getting hurt if Pusha’s was just the beginning of what he has up his sleeve

People still stepping to Drake eh

Drake still winning this. He won it with the invoice. Everything else is the cherry on top.

Meek Mill stepped to Drake and Drake got him good.

I don't think Drake thought through going all out with Pusha T though lol

this is gonna get UGLY. Pusha's response was just "v.1".

I've been waiting for a damn good hip-hop beef for a long ass time though as long as no one dies or some shit

I wouldn't get too excited tbh. Modern day hip hop feuds fizzle out really quickly these days and I'd be shocked if this is a thing still in a few weeks. Shit fizzles out because there's rarely actual beef or hatred there. It's just a publicity move. Meek Mill was a big "who?" to a bunch of people but he goes after Drake and everybody knows his name.

People think Drake is soft. They go after him. He murders them. Rinse and repeat tbh.

that's the thing, though... a lot of people, myself included, thought this would be all hype. Pusha's album just came out, Kanye is dropping, Drake is dropping next month... it made sense.

and then Pusha dropped his track tonight.

First, exposed Drake's blackface picture... that's not even touching the content of the diss. This man exposed Drake in a Jim Crow shirt while posing as blackface with a goofy ass smile on his face.

"You mention wedding ring like it's a bad thing
You're father walked away at five, hell of a dad thing"

"Since you name dropped my fiancee
let em know who you chose as your Beyonce
Sophie knows better, ask your baby mother
Cleaned her up for IG, but the stench is on her
A baby's involved, it's deeper than rap
We talkin' characters, let me keep with the facts
You are hiding a child, let that boy come home
Deadbeat mothaf***a playin border patrol, ooh
Adonis is your son
And he deserves more than an Adidas press run, that's real
Love that baby, respect that girl
Forget that she's a porn star, let her be your world"

and even with that, probably the most ruthless is going after Drake's go-to producer who has MS

"OVO 40, hunched over like he's 80, tick, tick, tick
How much time he got? That man is sick, sick sick"

this isn't Meek Mill and while I like Drake, it's not gonna be easy for him. Dude probably bit off more than he can chew this time because Pusha T is actually good. It won't be a murder. I wouldn't be surprised if this actually becomes a drawn out feud.

Riot Fest first wave of lineups released today!

From watching their teaser video so far I've picked up on Beck, Dropkick, and Alkaline Trio being there.

Riot Fest used to be the best festival in Toronto...hell...probably Canada but we lost it...so...I'm sad.

Also making fun of a dude having Multiple Sclerosis is too far, imo.

I will never not be mad about Toronto losing Riot Fest. Amazing line-ups both years and they had to giveaway half their tickets for free. For perspective, tickets for The National are upwards of 150+ bucks and they headlined one year and they were giving away free tickets. Meanwhile VELD and Digital Dreams are still here. Not that I have anything against EDM but the Riot Fest line-ups were nuts.

To further sadden myself I've decided to come up with a list of the bands I saw at Riot Fest. I'm counting full or partial sets.

2014
The Cure
City and Colour
Metric
Billy Talent
Rise Against
Flaming Lips
Death from Above 1979
Stars
Die Antwoord
Brand New
Awolnation
Bring Me The Horizon
Taking Back Sunday
New Found Glory

2015
Alexisonfire
Weezer
Motorhead
All Time Low
Coheed and Cambria
Thrice
Echo & The Bunnymen
Against Me
Cancer Bats
Wu Tang Clan
Rancid
Bleachers
Frank Turner
Babes in Toyland
Airborne Toxic Event
Joy Formidable
Andrew W.K
Jazz Cartier

All for under $200. Hell. 2015 only cost me $70 for the entire weekend. I paid $70 just to see Alexis at the Danforth last year.

wow look at all those shows we were in the same pit for again.

No National or Glassjaw for you?

Frank Turner was one of my favorite sets from that 2015 weekend. I have a distinct memory of him kicking me in the head when he went crowd surfing.
