I remember seeing all the posters and trailers for GoT saying it was gonna be the next big thing and my friends were like "it looks boring af"

now theyre all obsessed with it, but I find the show quite boring lol

I don't like GoT or a few others for one small reason - I feel like they force nudity and rape scenes. In some shows/movies, it comes across as necessary to the storyline to really sell what is going on. In a lot of the HBO shows, they seem to go to that niche of nudity/shock value just for the mere fact of doing it.

I understand that is just my perspective that may be in the minority. I'm not against the nudity/rape/etc, but it should seem like it fits. Just my opinion that HBO tries to force it too much.

iirc, GoT really cut down the nudity during the last season, although I may just not be remembering correctly.

I really need to get back up to speed on GoT, but I don't want to watch the previous season(s) again.

The only gratuitous rape IMO was Craster's Keep. It was just happening for no other reason other than to upset the viewer.
