C - Michael Dal Colle
LW - Anthony Duclair

Going to join the youth movement before it's too late. As well, it's going to be tough to comepete in future years, as drafting new talent is going to be hard.

Edit : it is what it is

Just a couple of notes:

1) The NHL has raised their cap from $73M to $75M, therefore we will be doing the same.

2) As some of you probably know by now, we're going by 'AAV' rather than the basic 'cap hit' for players. With that being said, any player that gets sent down will have their cap hit counted rather than their AAV. This is to avoid teams getting dinged on players like Michael Dal Colle and Thatcher Demko who have high AAVs and could very well be playing in the AHL next season.

(Per the CBA, any AHL player with a cap hit exceeding $1.025M will have the excess count towards the team's total cap hit. Please keep this in mind.)

edit: Just thought of one more. Players are being assigned to either the NHL or AHL rosters as they're drafted, and we're more or less guessing where they're going to start at the beginning of the season when we put them there. For example, I added Michael Dal Colle onto ModernUser's NHL team which has added a whopping ~$3M to his total cap hit. If you see a player on either your NHL or AHL roster that you'd like to recall/send down, just post in the thread and we'll change that for you.

Duclair and dal colle both ended last season in the AHL. My guess is as good as yours if theyre in the NHL next season.

My point was, just because they're there now doesn't mean that they have to stay there. If you're tight up against the cap or you just feel they'll be in the AHL, send them down whenever.

HIRINGS: HankNDank has been brought on as a player agent for Western Conference teams, and Tryamkin for the Eastern Conference teams.

These and any other "hirings" like it will be recorded in the CBA in case you forget who to contact. It's not the end of the world if you message the wrong agent, but try to make sure you've got the right one.

Glad Try is negotiating in the other conference :sarcasm:

Greiss
Mrazek

Worried about Mrazek being picked in expansion draft since he didn't get protected though, as he'd be more a backup role in Vegas if Fleury and him get taken.

Kind of surprised I took a prospect and a D last round, wasn't really my intention but Nylander seemed like the best choice and Phaneuf is within 30 scoring points to the remaining top veteran forwards.

Evgeni Dadonov - Evgeni Malkin - Valeri Nichushkin
Henrik Zetterberg - Eric Staal - Nathan Mackinnon

Ryan Suter - Jaccob Slavin

Pekka Rinne

Banking hard that Dadonov comes over from the KHL (rumors around him signing with either TOR, VGK or CHI) and hoping Nuke comes back over next season; either with DAL or playing for Vegas.

Certainly President's Trophy material for 2018. Might work for the play-offs as well even if Zetterberg and MacKinnon are out. Risky to have so many veterans and a couple of Russians that might not play though. When the Russians come into play your veterans might have fallen off.

Doubling Up
:bruins

The Boston Bruins have doubled up, re-upping dynamic duo LW Ondrej Palat, and C Tyler Johnson. The pint sized pairing have been taking the league by storm and pushing the limits, breaking boundaries for undersized players. The 26 year olds have each signed 4 year, $20M contracts (5M AAV)with the Bruins. The deal also includes a modified NTC once eligible for the final 3 years of their contract starting in the 2018/2019 season. The modification implies that they can submit a list of 8 teams they can not be traded to.

The Bruins have also signed top prospect and 1st overall pick C Nolan Patrick to a max rookie contract of 3.775M. They hope Patrick will make an immediate impact on the team and can put up massive numbers in his first NHL season.
