Lavoie for me here. I have a ton of faith in him. When we drafted him my thought was, Connors eventually trigger man. I may ease up on that today, but i still see them as a great fit eventually. I don't see much separation between Broberg, McLeod and Lavoie here. They're my clear 4/5/6. Interchangeable for me.

Konovalov or McLeod for me.

McLeod should be given credit for the fact he is ready to step in full time next year
As a 4th liner*

Voting Savoie who actually could become a 5M+ per player in the NHL one day ala Eberle. Expecting a goal a game+ pace next season.

I voted Cloud cuz he's NHL ready, and I literally don't know anything about X-man.

(Also, I'm generally not a fan of prospects from the Q)

Samorukov was almost 30 votes ahead of McLeod/Bourgault so I felt he had that locked up.

I was thinking of running the polls for 24 hours from here on out, how does everyone feel about that?
You made the right call, and it’s your poll, so run it as you wish…I personally like the mercy rule where as the pollster you shut it down when the lead is insurmountable.

It’s encouraging that you could make a legitimate case for like 6 or 7 guys at this point.

You should let these polls run longer imo, wasn’t even 24 hours on #4.

When the voting is a landslide, why wait? Nobody was coming back in the last 4 polls

For me there are wild swings in rankings depending on if you are voting for NHL readiness (McLeod would be at or near the top obviously) vs pure long term potential. I choose to vote on the latter, which is why I voted Bourg here once again.

it’s only fair to look at both imo. I always had Pitlick higher than most because of his high floor. He had like 10 busts go before him, so it wasn’t really fair to go strictly off of ceiling.

I went with Lavoie, I feel he's got the biggest upside and his skillset makes him unlikely to miss IMO. I was impressed by his transition to pro and I see the floor being similar to a guy like Benoit Pouliot. As for the two leading vote getters I'll say this as to why I have them behind Lavoie:

I have doubts on McLeod's offensive upside and willingness to do the hard things necessary to truly make the most of his admittedly outstanding natural talent.

Bourgault is a 1st rounder but he was no more highly touted than Lavoie nor is he more prolific offensively at the same age and he's less physically gifted IMO. I'd like to see more from him.

In saying that I get picking Bourgault and McLeod though for sure. Even Savoie, Konovalov, Skinner, or Benson have merit. It's a nice cluster here for the next 5 picks and the top 10 is pretty exciting as even Kesselring and Tullio look like real solid prospects. Kesselring in particular has a very intriguing package and made a seamless transition to the AHL and that to me is a sign of real quality.

It was more of a suggestion going forward. Poll #3 had 50ish more votes if my math isn’t off so there’s definitely some people who missed #4 I think. Especially when these ones will likely be closer in voting.

Yeah true he is entering as a 4th liner, but I think ive seen enough flashes that I think he could be one of those "elite" 3rd line centers we've been looking for. A guy who can score 15 goals and be responsible defensibly.

Considering how important that 3c position has become I think for me he gets bumped up, even though he doesnt have the high end potential of Xavier, Savoie, Lavoie, etc
