I feel like letting in Barrasso and Vernon takes away from Lundqvists day. Neither of those goalies were nearly as good.

Not even sure why they made it.

Turgeon also would not be in my hall of fame.

Looking at who got in, it's like they were throwing bodies in front of Mogilny.

Hank was the only one clearly above, and should go in as this year's headliner.
Barrasso had the hardware.

But Turgeon was a compiler, and Mike Vernon doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the Hall (he had a SINGLE top 3 Vezina finish in his career, and finished top 5 in sv% exactly once)

One of the wild things about Hank is that at the peak of his powers (2009-2016) you could watch him get set to take his first shot in warmups, and if he seemed like his stance was lower than usual (say by an inch or so) you would just say “oh cool, we won!……..and he hadn’t even made a save yet.

It’s eerie, it’s hard to explain - but you just knew.
