Why protect Benn over beaulieu when you get a similar player in Benn afterwise?

Who even says Lernout is ready? Jerabek can be a 7th defenseman to transition to North America. No need to rush anybody.

oh for sure

but for what we need right now

its completly useless

No it's not. He's underrated, fills a need and is going to be a regular in our lineup. This isn't some depth 7th-defenseman acquisition. He's going to have a permanent spot in our defense group.

$2.1m for the next 3 years. Not bad.

Honestly he's a good player. A journeyman a la Benn/Weaver that has flown under the radar but is a solid player. At that price I don't mind it.

Schlemko’s speed makes the transition game incredibly fluid.

Not bad for a 5th-rounder.

I'm warming up to MB this summer. He did not lose much yesterday, and I'm still giddy about the Drouin acquisition. I also get the thinking behind the Beaulieu trade, especially if he plans to keep Galchenyuk.
