I still haven't gone to sleep since the USA/Russia game that started at 4:00 AM this morning... And I had ALREADY been up since 6:00 AM Friday...

I guess I should get some sleep for this game... LOL!

Slovenia need to lose this game in regulation, even if there will be a chance for better results. Because in that case they'll play against Norway or Austria for QF. If not then against Latvia or even Slovakia again (in case of regulation win).

Ok, I'll stop dreaming and back to reality. I see tomorrow a kind of friendly match. USA will play just to win it, they don't need to run the score up. Slovenia will probably take similar aproach as again Russia. This mean they won't overplay Kopitar who will see around 20 min of ice-time max and others will play more than usual.

In goal for Slovenia will be probably Gracner, a way to showcase him for next draft to America audience (since he wasn't selected on last draft).

For Slovenia, everything will be just preparation for Tuesday, after todays win we can realisticly hope for QF appearance.

At the end USA will win with similar results as Russia (something like 4:1, 5:1, 5:2).

Faulk should be in over Orpik but we know that won't happen.

Kesler should rest tomorrow and put Stepan in. I'd play Faulk over Carlson for 1 game as well.

Knowing Kesler though and the way he plays with the USA jersey on, that's not going to happen.

Definitely not a game the US can overlook. Slovenia has given everyone a tough time.

I wouldn't be surprised if Miller started for the US.

Go USA but damn it the stickied thread with the Men's schedule got my hopes up by saying that this game would be at noon eastern. Tough to wake up at 6:30 on both weekend days :(

I was hoping we'd get at least one "early" game so I could go to bed at a decent time.

I am still crying for that one.:cry:Our boys were so close to the second round. And then against Algeria you scored in last minute. We were devastated. The nation of 2 million almost in second round WC 2010 …

Better bring this guy then ;)

I'm curious to see if Bylsma keeps Fowler and Shattenkirk together. I thought they were the best pairing against Russia. That being said, they are also the US's two best puck movers on the blue line, and I thought the team got hemmed in their zone a few times unnecessarily. It might be worth it to separate them and encourage a better breakout.

this game could prove to be a tough one for the Yanks.
a lot of emotion and energy went into the Russian game and it might take a couple of periods to get things going.
