USA defense reminds me of the flyers defense. Can't move the puck out of the zone or transition. Its horrible. Didn't realize they were that bad.

I have it on good authority (Flyers fans in this thread) that Sanheim is the best player on this team, you must be mistaken.

I like Sanheim but both his upside and his readiness are greatly overrated by some.

Only the first couple periods of the tournament against a really good team as well. Who knows, he may yet light things up.

Sad to admit this. He needs to change his style of play because whenever the competition gets better he just looks brutal.

US goaltending is one of the few things they've been great in since the 80s.

Marner and Strome look pretty average thus far, not like a Domi/Duclair from last year's team.

Domi/Duclair were 19; Strome/Marner are 18.

This is one of the tightest defensive games I can remember ever seeing in this tournament. There is no room out there at all.

Barzal has made some of the best, and easily the worst plays of this game. He was a fraction of a second away from sending the US on a shorthanded breakaway, and a fraction of an inch from backhanding the puck in his own net. He's made some really nice offensive plays, though.
