Is Sproul not with the team, didn't see on on the scratch list...

I think after practicing with the team, a lot of the junior/former junior players have been told to work on summer conditioning. Notice Ouellet is off the roster these days, could be they were sent home to begin their conditioning. After all the prospect camp is a month from now. will be interesting to see how they handle all that this year with so many prospects lasting really deep into the year.

But realistically with DeKeyser down we know none of those kids are needed. Fournier played over them, who knows if Nicastro is in front of them in Blashill's mind and Jensen would likely be turned to first given his maturity.

I know he doesn't have to but think it is kind of a bummer that Ilitch didn't loan them a plane for this. I know it is expensive but I would like to see him reward the guys for this, let them do the Calder Cup Finals in style. The Tigers and Wings now both have separate planes these days, would have been nice to send the Wings one up to GR.

Mitchell Callahan, 89g, 15+11 = 26 (0.292)
Triston Grant, 93g, 4+7 = 11 (0.118)

Non-current playoff roster:
Teemu Pulkkinen, 16g, 3+3 = 6 (0.375)
Calle Järnkrok, 9g, 0+3 = 3 (0.333)
Trevor Parkes, 36g, 3+6 = 9 (0.250)
Brent Raedeke, 38g, 3+6 = 9 (0,237)

Defence combined:

Chad Billins 94g, 12+36 = 48 (0.511)
Adam Almquist, 86g, 13+28 = 41 (0.477)
Brett Skinner, 51g, 4+19 = 23 (0.451)
Nathan Paetsch, 88g, 4+35 = 39 (0.443)
Brian Lashoff, 49g, 2+15 = 17 (0.347)
Brennan Evans, 94g, 1+10 = 11 (0.117)
Dan DeKeyser, no games

Non-playoff roster:
Brendan Smith, 32g, 5+15 = 20 (0.625)
Gleason Fournier, 36g, 1+6 = 7 (0.194)
Max Nicastro, 25g, 1+2 = 3 (0.120)

Brendan Smith "struggled" in AHL, with clearly best average production of any defencemen...

Hoggan and Evans are the only warriors who have played in all possible 94 AHL-games.

I really think that lockout affected superbly positive to Griffins team. All those former leaders with 10 Stanley Cup rings worked with the guys more than they would do at normal season.

That offence really looks like a 4 lines full of Krisdrapers, skating like hell, but scoring with a bit better rate. Thank god there's more skill. :)

And Chelios is just pure gold. The best trade ever that we got him here, and he has dedicated his life to RW prospects (and for own kids).

Ozzie mentors Mrazek.... so perfect.

Winners will build winners.

Should we have some cool nickname for Mrazek? :)

What would you prefer? The Kid Dominator? The Dominator Kid? Mrazeknator? Next Hasek?

Huge win and I think it's important to take back home at least one win from the first two in Syracuse. Much easier to head back home with a win (or two... :)) than down two. That's what they did in the Houston and Toronto series as well. Go Griffins!

I like Blashill, but man does he always look like someone just ran over his puppy:

I could go on, and on, and on. The internets are littered with millions of pictures of Blashill looking like he's about to cry. Wtf?

Nice breakout pass by Dekeyser at 0:30.

Honestly was kind of hoping it was Lashoff when I first saw that unfolding. A brutal turnover as bad as they come really. First game back though, but that is a decision and play you shouldn't attempt in peewee.

EDIT: Hope was probably the wrong word, I want Lashoff to be successful despite not being his biggest fan. But that is the kind of play I expect from him, that is a brutal turnover by DeKeyser, has to be safer with the puck, he had a rough first game back.
