Hofer had an amazing save on Hronek just to give it away to Miller which was hilarious.

And then Pettersson blows the entire play.

Pretty bad final 30 minutes from him, a ton of giveaways.

Lost in all of this is that Hughes looked incredible out there, the guy was buzzing all night.

As for the penalty, Pettersson went down pretty easy so I can understand not wanting to call it, but it DIRECTLY resulted in a goal and if the ref knew that he would've called it immediately.

That's why you need to be consistent.

That Pettersson turnover was bad
that would have been his 3rd offensive rush in a shift in OT
You're only allowed 2

he should have turned back instead of rushing it forward
cost him as he had to back check dog tired

we've always played hero puck in OT a bit too much

Great pushback by the team. We don't often get to see it but they absolutely locked it down, except for Zadorov being casual on the 3-1 goal and deservedly benched.

Sucks to lose because of the refs not calling that obvious cross-check, but we got a point and they've built enough of a cushion that it probably doesn't matter. This is, as far as I can tell, the third time we've been obviously dicked by the refs - the Avalanche and the Rangers were the first two.

That and the one on Hughes were easily penalties. If teams are able to get away with it because of arbitrary ruling by refs, they'll take advantage of it.

Kinda comical that the goal that was taken away AND the OT Goal were nearly the same - an obvious interference/crosscheck leading to a Brayden Schenn goal.

Say what you want about the winner, penalty or not, EP just completely gave up and instead gets caught looking at the ref instead of just continuing to play.

Terrible turnovers in OT when possession is key. Then gives up whining for a call. Needs to be better than that.

The Hughes crosscheck was extremely egregious, that should've 100% been a penalty.

Glad he's okay, that looked very painful, especially going face first into the boards.

No argument to be made in defense. Very shocking to see Petey with such little awareness tonight. Wasn’t every shift, but far too often for someone who is dialed in.
