Listen, the Capitals are obviously way worse than the Rangers, but I’m not seeing this big bad team that’s supposed to be a major cup contender out of the Rags. Relying fully on special teams isn’t going to carry you as far against Carolina who is way more stingy.

Can't be mad. Kids showed up. Lappy was great, Protas has been good in both games. I think CMM was good today, but the kid is playing with two anchors in Oshie and Ovi. He is the only one on that line that seems to have the ability to do something.
Disappointed that our vets have been a no show. Ovi looks like he has nothing left out there. Oshie tries his best but his body is incapable of doing what his mind wants to do. Dowd - where is he?

Also, John Carlson is clearly the best Capital overall at this point, right?
No matter the outcome, the Rangers aren't showing to be the top team the media clamors over. The Oilers with Skinner in net can beat them easily.

Puck seemed to bounce everywhere against the caps tonight. Guys timing was off. Can't play much worse than that, but won't win without a better effort and better position play. Caps can definitely play a lot better than tonight, and ovie needs to pull his head out of his backside. Better luck next game guys.

Youngsters looked a lot more confident and adrenalized (is that a word) about playoff hockey in this one - and Carly, Fever, McIlraith, TVR, and Alexeyev were all solid. Rangers got an embarrassing amount of 3rd world thrown soccer match reffing and still barely eked it out.
Also credit where credit is due, I didn’t think LuJo looked that bad
