With the additions as well of Trent Frederic, Dante Fabbro, Travis Sanheim, and others, the Montreal Canadiens are in a very strong spot to rebuild our franchise.

Jonathan Tavares remains torn on his options. His gut is turning and beginning to get to him; his head doesn't know what to think; and his heart is halfway in his throat trying desperately to reach and reason with his head. At this point in the process, it appears that Tavares will listen to offers in Free Agency.

Evander Kane and the San Jose Sharks have had a healthy dialogue since the trade deadline. Kane has fit very well in San Jose and is receptive towards returning. However, it was buddy and current teammate Joe Thornton, who last year came away very flattered from the interview process, that told Kane to experience free agency and "see who loves you".

Speaking of Joe Thornton, Jumbo has told the San Jose Sharks he will give them a decision tonight whether he goes to market for the second straight year.

Matt Stajan and the Calgary Flames are working on coming to terms on a new contract before the start of Free Agency.

Very shocked and pleased to have drafted Adam Boqvist 7th overall as we had him 4th on our draft board. We feel that by adding him, acquiring Kale Clague in an earlier trade and the improved play of Olli Juolevi this season in Finland that our defense is on it's way to becoming respectable. Also very happy to select Adam Ginning an Filip Hallander in the 2nd round.
