READ THE RULES.

And make sure you have your ROSTER & CAP INFO posted in the roster thread!

Commissioners

Game Schedule

  • Draft Lottery: Saturday, April 28th
  • Entry Draft First Round: TBD
  • Entry Draft Rounds 2-4: TBD
  • Free Agency: TBD

Salary Cap
  • CAPFRIENDLY IS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL CAP INFO.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2018-2019 season is $78M.
  • The salary cap minimum for the 2018-2019 season is $58M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap during the season and by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the deadline and at the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART.

Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit. Use the Buyout Calculator.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the NHL standings at the end of the 2017/18 season.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Teams are permitted to use a maximum of TWO ordinary buyouts.
  • Buyout Calculator
Trades
  • All trades must be sent to Joel Ward and Peter Griffin or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any moves we deem to be ridiculous.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player(s) to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH JW and Peter Griffin prior to posting. Keep in mind that many NTCs or NMCs will NOT be waived.
  • The commissioners will provide a 5 to 8-team no-trade list for players with an unspecified "limited NTC" upon request.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals must be significantly altered in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC will still be valid with their new team.

Wants:
1C (FA pending)
1G

OTB
Faulk (or maybe other young top 4 dmen, but Faulk most available if 1c is available)
Would consider moving younger pieces, or maybe Skinner (altho NMC, and I want to keep) for 1c. Could move Skinner for other good offer, but I doubt

Want to re-tool the D and make it cheaper. Let us know if you have ideas. Letang, Maatta and Schultz are available.

We've also made a trade with New Jersey: Conor Sheary, Matt Hunwick for 2020 3rd, 2018 5th, and Josh Jacobs

New Jersey confirms (and hopes Pittsburgh sent it in, because New Jersey didn't!).

Sheary is a Shero find and fits in well with the team design.

Actively looking to move Girgensons, Beaulieu, McCabe, Lehner and others

Willing to still listen on ROR, Ristolainen and Reinhart but unless it blows me away, they don't move.

New Jersey is looking for a top-6 center and top-2 defenseman. Picks, prospects, and several young players are available. RHD Damon Severson is on the table for the right trade (which would involve a similarly skilled/aged LHD or as part of a package for a more established defenseman).

Oooooo... "featuring".

:edmonton

We're probably waiting till the lottery to see how things shake out. I mean... we're Edmonton... let's be honest here.

But in the event this thing is rigged, our 1st round pick is up for grabs.

Been fielding offers for Russell, Sekera, & Strome.

We're looking for a top pairing defenseman or a Top-4 offensive RHD.

Have held several talks regarding Chris Tanev and are close on a couple of deals but not quite at the point of pulling the trigger.

Ben Hutton/Derrick Pouliot are available for a pick/prospect. Same goes for Markus Granlund

Shopping Andreas Athanasiou around looking to change things up a bit. Have had a few interesting offers and conversations but still willing to listen to anything new. I'm open to anything that'll help a rebuild. Would also like to move Xavier Ouellet for a right handed forward or a pick. Danny DeKeyser is another player we could potentially move.
