I've left the house twice this weekend. Both times, a trade went down.

Anyone you want? I can be persuaded to go out again, for a fee.

Looking at NHL numbers site it's not reflecting the Glencross transaction yet and it was showing the Capitals with a 2.675 cap space. Glencross's cap hit on the Flames page was showing 2.5. So if all of this is true, they don't need to make another move for cap purposes.

Quick question, are you allowed to be over the cap by a certain max amount and take a fine for it?

I would say there is 0% chance Glencross is on the top line, this was a move for some forward depth. Hopefully it means Mojo is GONE by tomorrow and a beast for that top line comes in.

@CraigCustance: Flames tried hard to get Buffalo's third-round pick from Washington as part of that deal but it's the Capitals 3rd going back to Calgary.

So..... Johansson looks like he's staying put and we're going to have him locked in for 4 million/season.

.... and Laich and CHimera are still here making 6.5 million/combined.

Now that we've added GlenX and didnt' give up a roster player, the Caps should try and do all they can to just move Chimmer or Laich for anything just to free up the $$$.
