All in all very solid. Unfortunately, you did make one "massive error". You left out Michael Ryan and his 18 games in 2008-2009.

I kid. That was challenging. Definitely some names I've forgotten and others I've blocked out of my memory due to how horrendous they were.

97/207. That was awesome and totally made me think about some of those who've passed through. Good job.

Wow, 101. I had to strain in the last few seconds to even break 100. That was awful and I didn't even remember obvious ones like Tuomo Ruutu. I blame it on my lack of sleep.

Ended up with 112. Somehow this 18 year old forgot Bates Battaglia but could remember Chris Dingman and Steve Halko.

Got about 150 of them but there's always going to be that one guy I completely have no idea who that is. For the Canes, that's Steve Martins. I know who Steve Martin is, big fan really, but this guy is something I didn't even know existed.

I look forward to crushing this after dinner. Then making a Whalers one if it doesn't already exist, or I lose interest.

116. Would have been 120 if I could figure out how to spell tvedorsky, Chiasson, and O'Neill. I managed to forget both Antons.

Ended up with 111, although I couldn't get Kostopoulos to count for whatever reason, probably poor spelling. Some of the more obvious (post 2002ish) one's I missed were Scott Walker and Andrew Ladd. Everyone else was either before 2002 or less than 100 games played.

I ended up with 99 before giving up with 5 minutes left.

I'm not sure how I remembered Brad Fast, Oskar Osala, Nikos Tselios, and Brandon Nolan yet forgot Sami Kapenen, Niclas Wallin, Bret Hedican, Anton Babchuk, and Jiri Tlusty.

Also, my spelling isn't the greatest so I missed guys like John Grahame, Alexi Ponikravosky, and Oleg Tverdosky.

I was a 58 with a little over 10 minutes left, then we had a call at work. Blah. I was slowing down though. I think I would've been lucky to double. I can talk about it all day, but under pressure I started cracking. Weak.

I was at 87 and started freaking out over a blank spot towards the top of the list and then just quit to figure out who the hell it was.

...Char.:help:

EDIT: Before anybody asks, I was trying to work my way backwards from the current roster, unless I got on some crazy tangent from tracking through trades in my head.

I can't believe Chad LaRose played 508 games as a Hurricane. I thought I must have forgot someone really important when they were that high, and then I realized...

Only 86 :( I wasn't in the right frame of mind I guess, considering I blanked on current players...

One thing this made me realize is that we haven't had anything close to a "lifer" since the team moved. EStaal is the closest, and he's only 29... that's not really close at all.

To be fair, most '90s teams haven't, at least in the sense that the guy played for one and only one team. Legwand, Alfredsson, and Modano came close, but left in the twilight of their careers (edit: funny how Detroit was the next stop for all of them). Doan is the only other guy I can think of, but he still has time to go down the same road as the others.

That has a lot to do with it for sure, but even if you include the Hartford years there aren't any true lifers other than Staal. The next closest are short-career guys like O'Neill, Burt and Wallin who all finished elsewhere.

In fact, I just realized something. After Eric Staal, the only other player who spent the entirety of a significant career with this franchise was... Chad LaRose. And after him, the next longest exclusive careers are Patrick Dwyer and Jeff Skinner(!).

121. My biggest oopses were Sean Hill, Jay Harrison, David Tanabe, and Paul Ranheim.

I sadly only got 1 of the 1 game only club, and that was the eternal Brad Fast. Got 6 of the 2s. My happiest ones to remember were Joey Tetarenko, Damian Surma, Patrick DesRochers (goalie of the future), and Byron Ritchie.
