Agreed. To dispose of Gane in the manner he did was incredibly impressive.

3 years back, jumps a weight class, and submits Gane like this...damn.

I fully expected him to win but to win untouched vs number 1 contender is surprising.

I know he won’t stay long but I’d like to see him against Blaydes.

Tbh honest I like gane as a person, but I never thought he was much a threat, I was impressed by his fight with Tuivassa (?), Black beast and also holding his own with Ngannou, but I can't see a hw being that threatening if he doesn't have one punch knock out power or high level wrestling.

PEDs improve your training, improve your recovery times, make you more powerful in the clinch, more difficult to grapple, help you to strike harder, etc...
They help you recover. That's it. When you do events like Tour de France, it actually is healthier to it while on PEDs because of the grueling impact your putting your body through.

There is no PED that will just make you more agile or stronger or a smarter grappler. That is the misunderstanding about PEDs.
It's going to make you recover quicker, but if you don't have the genetics favoring you, or proper training discipline or regiment, etc, PEDs are gonna do nothing except mess up your hormonal system.

No one's saying PEDs magically make you an elite fighter, but if you take 2 world class fighters and allow 1 to train with them and the other can't then that makes a world of difference.
Not necessarily actually. Even identical twins, in a study, they found only 10% had the same DNA.
Add in training, life experiences, etc. It's pretty much impossible for any top 2 world athlete to be exactly on the same level.

Again, PEDs are incredibly misunderstood by the general public, and also unfairly demonized.

Even if people want to say Gane was sub-par, 3 years off, jumps weightclasses, and manages to finish him off like that....
Goat.

Nope. They don't buddy, that's not how peds work. You clearly have never read, studied, or research anything about PEDs.
They don't what? Benefit training, recovery and strength gains?

Your mental gymnastics to avoid the fact that they do makes it come across as if you use them, but don't want to accept that they're part of the reason why you're seeing results

Yes they do benefit training, they help you recover and therefore you can increase your time pushing yourself, which in turn makes you stronger, or more agile. But no PED will actually make you more agile, or stronger. For that to happen, you need to put in the work.
To put it simply, for exemple, if you're used to squatting 2x/week, 100kg for 3x3, if you take PEDs and you keep squatting 2x/week, 100kg, for 3x3, then you're not going to magically get stronger.
What PEDs will do is allow you to increase the amount of volume, which then makes you stronger, assuming you keep pushing yourself.
As another example, if you sit on the couch and do nothing all day, if you take PEDs, you're not going to suddenly become stronger/fitter.

If you don't push yourself, increase training load/volume/frequency, eat for the required objective, etc, you will get absolutely nothing from taking PEDs.

That Mbilli vs Murdock fight was crazy. Thank god Murdock's coach cares more about his fighter than prestige/victory. Right decision to stop the fight.

That was nothing more than a masterclass by Beterbiev. Wow.

I was a bit worried for him pre-fight. His defense was a little sus vs Yarde, which lingered in my mind. But this was boxing at its very highest, purest, and technically sound level I've watched in some time. Man oh man was this a treat for the boxing fans like my dad and I are. Still got goosebumps from that counter-right pinpoint on the temple. And his jabs were a thing of beauty 😍.

Sport porn for me. He looked more than ready for Bivol, get that unification bout signed and ready for this year. Let's gooo

Artur looked so freaking sharp tonight, masterclass in boxing and mauling. Great KO. Love it

What a nice fight from Beterbiev. Was worried Smith would be able to get him on the outside and work the body from afar but the small ring and movement of Beterbiev was so good, he cornered Smith easily in the ropes.

Bivol should be a better challenge as he's a better boxer but he only has a 50 % KO rate and if he doesn't hurt Beterbiev with his punches, I don't see how he could win the fight.

Man, I honestly just want to see a Beterbiev vs Usyk fight. That's all I'm asking for. For their legacy and the history is just too much to avoid. The storyline of former amateur and Olympic rivals, one of the only few boxers to knockdown Usyk and almost KO him even with a headgear on. If he beats Bivol, I can see him having the greatest momentum in the whole sport. The greatest attraction over anybody else. The only fighter with 100% KO ratio. The best light heavyweight ever if he gets to beat Bivol. Then go for the legacy fight versus Usyk, who we hope to defeat Fury. Beterbiev is the Goku of boxing. The best

Usyk is too big now.
