I don’t see the rush to trade anyone off the Canucks. They all seem to be slotted accordingly to the system being played.

Why mess with that for “cap space” when they have players using that cap space who are contributing in their roles.

Buys them some time for sure. Ultimately though they’ll likely need to repurpose some capspace from their forward core towards their defense and Garland seems like the obvious choice to do so.

I don't think trading Garland is getting any closer. The thread title should probably be updated.

Darren Dreger reported last night on TSN that Garland is less inclined to leave now that Vancouver is having success.
