When Roope was a prospect, I never could have imagined that he would end up being as good as he is. The guy is a PPG top line center who should arguably be a Selke finalist on a yearly basis. What a player.

When Roope was a prospect, I never could have imagined that he would end up being as good as he is. The guy is a PPG top line center who should arguably be a Selke finalist on a yearly basis. What a player.

I wish I could remember my old account info. I have great receipts on Roope. I remember a poster on here named Dechire or something like that and they were the only other person as high on Roope as I was. His 2015 WJC was elite but he had 0 help.

He’s my favorite player and watching him come up from a nobody prospect in ilves and HIFK to one of the best C’s in the league has been something special.

This has been the most enjoyable Stars hockey that I have witnessed in a long, long time. I'd probably have to go all the way back to the Hatcher, Lehtinen, Modano, Zubov and Nieuwendyk era tbh. I hope the good times continue to roll in the playoffs.
