I would bet he's more mad at himself for passing the puck. The puck didn't make it cleanly to Ras, it was deflected and gave the goalie time, he thinks more about the pass not getting through cleanly than he blames Ras for not scoring.
Regardles of what he was mad about, its awesome that Raymond is starting to make those kinds of thrilling plays happen more often. Hes becoming so good

I cannot recommend highly enough visiting Norway if you can manage it. One of my all time favorite trips.

And you do save a bit of cash because most hotels, especially in bigger cities, have full breakfast spreads. Just get ready for a lot of herring, meat and hardboiled eggs!
My dream trips are to see the fjords of Norway and the fjords of Patagonia.

I'm sure it's Petry's fault

Petry is quite literally the reason they won the game yesterday. Lyon was beat. It was 3-2. And Petry reacted quickly enough to pull the puck out before it fully crossed the goal line. So, you have Petry to thank for those two points that we needed to stay in the running.

Petry's not going to stay on the positive side of the ledger if you want to start doling out games won and lost in such a fashion. The Carolina game was only Thursday...

On his second attempt. He whiffed on the first.

And huuuuuuugeeee prices. I remember visiting Norway 20 years ago on one of my first conference trips as a poor PhD student. Pizza and coke were like 4 times pricier than in Finland. No way I was ready for that. The worst thing is that I had to spend almost two weeks there due to strange flights fares...

I saw on the replay that it took TWO swipes for the save though. Petry's the worst goalie they've ever had!

I am expecting Oslo to be expensive, but I can cover the cost of the first round at least. That would be great.

Raymond and Kane are far better than DBC, it's not close. Wings needed more skill and I appreciate some of what DBC has, but I am honestly hoping he will be eventually traded rather than signed to a second contract.

I have two children also, both older than any Wings' player (though not by much). My daughter gave birth just a few days ago to the first grandchild.. She will obviously have no choice but to be a Wings' fan. Cheers.
This is a recommendation to you but also to other Americans and Canadians who might consider to visit Europe (Scandinavia).
Europe is best in the summer when it is WC in football (soccer). The the whole of Europe is like a huge October party. Everyone is out, the streets and parks are full of people. There are big TV screens in the parks, people watch football, but mostly drink and socialise.
I don't think Europe is expensive for Americans except maybe Norway and Switzerland.

Poor you.
I have never heard that students eat at restaurants. As a student you are supposed to make your own food.

I know there is a thread for visiting Detroit. If there is enough interest maybe we can have a thread for fans from America for visiting Europe.

I apologise if the thread was derailed too much.

I thought it was even more impressive that he had the composure to clean it at the 2nd attempt.
I thought everyone played well last night except Copp who took that penalty.
Our defence looks good with Edvidson and Walman back. Then the whole defence play their role instead far above.
That win last night has given us the reason to be very happy with this season regardless what happens the last 8 games.

i dont blame copp for the pen i like the physical aggro and it was a clean hit from the side.

As big as ive hated on perron of late he came out big even taking out the goal.

IMO Copp did exactly what many of us here on the forum are demanding: Play hockey. He hit a guy, refs thought it was boarding. Fine. That's all part of the game. Where that kind of thing becomes an issue (again IMO) is when everyone on the team is treating everyone else on the team as if they are made of glass.

"Better not chase that dump aggressively because if one of them gets by me we're humped."
"Better not take my guy on this rush confidently because I'm worried about my D partner so I'll spend a second overthinking."
"Better not try and strip the puck on this PK because I might be 5" off my position and if he gets inside me it's just the goalie."
"Better not miss this one because if it gets by me the guys ain't getting it back."

So everyone plays like ass and you don't win plays or games.

We've seen what this team, ANY team can do when they are confident and aggressive. "Oh you have a power play. That's adorable. I have confidence in the guys behind me and I give a little stretch to poke and NOW I have the puck and I'm streaking toward your net."

I want to see more of that kind of hockey, even with this roster.

Part of me is holding out hope that if we make the playoffs that the sentiment is that these extra games are all free games. Doesn’t matter, just play and play with confidence.

Now, we’ve got to make the playoffs first and I imagine the thought of elimination brings more nerves than not but at the same time, just get in and play. I’m sure the team knows that they wouldn’t be the favorite in any matchup. So just play.

My favorite Cuppy line about Aristotle is when he points out that Aristotle said snakes are cold-blooded because if they DID have legs, they would have only 4, and that "wouldn't be enough".
Like it. But to clarify, Aristotle said it about Plato (not to be confused with Pluto, which i did take a little shit for) right?
But if I can share my favorite. PLATO, he once referred to man as a featherless biped. (I forget the dialog)
So diogenes, plucked a chicken and threw it over the academy walls, and said, "here's another student for Plato!!!

Curse you, William Cuppy!

But not really. He was hilarious.

I hate the Petry hate... sorry you missed the sarcasm
