You can probably count the number of big games that were altered by a missed offside on one hand. The rule should have never even been tinkered with in the first place. The linesmen have always been more than adequate at catching offside. Especially the kind of offside that actually gives a meaningful advantage.

These reviews are a solution to a problem that didn't really exist. Asking players this size, playing at this speed, to control their body down to fractions of a centimeter is ludicrous.

Replay should be a thing for blatent misses... literally the lienency for overturning a call should be greater than the rulebook... freeze frame and slow mo shouldn't be allowed... it should be somethig so absurd that was missed like a five foot offsides or blatently hooking a goalies leg

if reviews are going to be allowed, the rule needs to be black and white imo. No second guessing on judgement calls imo. If you want to limit offside reviews, limit the time after entering the zone that can be challenged or something. Either time or if the puck goes behind the net or something. But if you can review the offside, you HAVE to stick to the black and white rule of what is offside.
