Listless practice with 97 and 29 on the same line sounds like a recipe for a loss.

Not going to win much when your leadership group doesn’t want to play in their own zone or wants to take undisciplined penalties.

I'm by no means blaming McDavid but I miss the days when he would single-handedly take over a game and get us the win.

Koach K kaught in the same old 97 29 glue trap.

It hasn’t been working since Day 1 this season and instead has been costing us games, rather than winning us games as these 2 abandon any pretext of playing well defensively when together and instead make costly turnovers from hope plays.
Teams know how to defend these 2 now and refusing to play them apart is detrimental to long term success.

RNH usually can’t do much centering his own line. Holloway buried on line 4 with the most useless player since Tobias Kahun does nothing. Foegele and McLoed are the Magic 8 ball of players, you never know what you’re going to get out of them. Skinner better have his head out of his ass as well or were cooked.

So with all that and a useless morning skate I predict a 4 - 1 Oiler win and the start of a @CROTT GDT win streak!

Having janmark in the top six should get you automatically slapped. The shine is coming off knob and he looks to be making the exact same mistakes as woodcraft. f*** seeing what you have in the kids let's put an old more than likely pto player next year on that line

That old PTO player was our best the other night.

I have no problem with actually rewarding positive results, especially when it's a who's who of other 4th liners if it isn't Janmark.

My fear is that, because his game relies so much on his speed that, because of age and his past injuries, he'll fall off a lot faster than most superstars do. Legs are always the first to go, and we're seeing year after year he looks every so slightly slower out there, which means he dominates less.

Hopefully I'm wrong and he's just saving himself for playoffs. I will never doubt him until I see him fall off when it really matters.

The bigger question is what the f*** management is going to do to round out the rest of the team.

Draisaitl-McDavid-Hyman
Kane-RNH-Janmark
Foegele-McLeod-Perry
Holloway-Ryan-Brown

That entire bottom 9 is not championship calibre and looks utterly atrocious, not even including our weak d-core and goaltending tandem.

All of our prospects outside of bouch are failures. Our drafting and development team needs to be completely gutted, but it's likely too late. It's long overdue for us to get some damn contributions from the rest of the roster down the stretch and into playoffs, and that's what's going to win or cost us a cup.

I miss him turning the goal light on and taking inside moves and shots instead of going for his trick, shoot it off the goalies ear 5X a game.

21 goals McD? C'mon. From 64 to 21?

52 NHL players this season have scored as many or more goals as Connor McDavid. One of them is Trevor Moore. That shit ain't right.;)

Even if he loses his speed, he should be an elite player.

He thinks the game well. He has a good shot. Even losing a step he’s still fast.

The problem with his game is that he seems stubborn to me. He seems reluctant to change his game in particular games. Why he refuses to shoot it after winning the rocket, still confuses me.

How is the damn trade deadline still two weeks away? This month has been torture.

And I don't think we get any relief tonight. 7-2 Kings.

It's all fun and games until the Oilers ruin my night!

McDrai are both getting nailed often. They always get up quick like "I can take anything" but cumulatively hits have impact and they slow down and effect any player. They're getting drilled. Coleman and others specifically targetted them for hits because why wouldn't an opponent do that?

Kane was busy thinking about Porn and we had Janmark trying to settle score on the McD hit. Kadri was even nailing Kane.

Perry had a fight but he was terrible.

Nor do we answer with much hits of our own. Kostin, Pulju, Bjugstad who hit a lot as Oilers are all gone. Replace really by the Likes of Connor Brown who looks for ways to disappear.

I actually don't mind this bottom 9 minus Brown.
Our system needs to be fixed.

Holloway, Ryan, Janmark, Perry , McLeod and Foegle have all looked decent at times when playing right.

Holloway-Ryan-Foegele is a good 4th line.

Kane needs to be in top 6 or shipped out. Maybe should be tried with McDavid again. Just get a top 6 RW.

Kane-McDavid-Hyman
RNH-Drai-Xxxx

I would be fine with a bottom 6 of.

Janmark has had a couple good games. Couple goals… punched the dude who hit McDavid. I doubt it will last all game but clearly getting rewarded for being one of the only players to show up.

I'll be captain obvious here. Need a win. Need to remember how to play defense.

I agree with rewarding positive results but do it by giving a bit more ice time or something like that. Not putting them in a position that they are not designed to be in. He was successful the other night playing where he should be playing, and should stay there. (in the bottom 6)

I'm sure they remember how to play good defence. It's the committment to do it that I think is lacking.

Knobloch has lost the plot with all the line juggling. Worse than McLellan was.
Gotta agree with this. Its chaotic at this point. Didn't mind a little experimentation here and there but its just been constant since ASG. Even when lines are playing well in games they are being changed up.

February 5 goal Skinner is in net against a team with some scorers. Not sure whats going to happen.

Connor will score tonight. I mean Connor McDavid. Even predicting that lately is going on a limb.
