For those of you going to the game, if you see 5 guys in Raanta Coyotes jerseys they came all the way from Finland to cheer on Raanta (and the Coyotes). Awfulwaffle and I met them in Las Vegas and they're great. If you can say hi and make them feel welcomed that would be awesome.

Should be an interesting game. Coyotes have only won 38% of their faceoffs and the Red Wings have only won 43.8% of theirs. I'm expecting that for 18.2% of the faceoffs tonight the puck will just sit on the dot while the players furiously swing their sticks in an attempt to hit it.

4 years in a row in the tank and we still don't even have one star player on this team. Depressing.

4 years? The team has been not good but not tanking territory for 4 years? 4 seasons ago the team finished 18th and drafted Perlini at 12th overall. In 2014-15 season was the only true tank (McDavid draft) and the team got shafted. And it is looking more and more like Maloney picked the wrong guy at 3rd overall. The next 2 seasons the team has not been good but did not tank at least not very well.

Drafting has not been goo though. For a cash strapped team that is a death toll. The team has collected a lot of good young talent but it remains to be seen if they can become effective and/or Tocchet was the right coach.

Fingers crossed.
