Gotta score. Bob was shaky for the start and he still only gave up 2. Gotta score. And our Dmen are getting all the shots, maybe Bjork could try shooting instead of passing back to Z or Seth. I like having the Dmen involved, but it seems to be disproportionate.
Bjork was shooting on the PP like crazy, but none of them were on net

Hey wey, we lost it's gonna be a benefice of CBJWennebrg "we suck" posts now, had a 6 game rest, need to charge.

Nobody is saying that. I said wild card mix. Which isn't very good, but not "we suck."

One good thing that came out of this game is the play of PLD. A goal, some big hits, 70+% on faceoffs. He will hit a rut but he is improving every game. And against some others opinion, man we can really use Wennberg back.

Another thing with that shitty PP, it's costing us health of our players, they can play dirty as hell with us, nothing will come from that.

PLD's growth over just a quarter of this season has definitely been extremely positive. Very happy about that.

And: The Wennberg of last season... why yes that would be very nice indeed.

And i know Cam is hungry for goals, but he should pass that one to Z on 3x1.

Do something with that PP, idk start with dismissing Larsen tomorrow morning to shake some things up already.
Certainly Larsen has a big role in this as Shaw is clearly a defensive specialist and Torts isn’t known as an offensive guru. So Larsen needs to get this resolved soon. The lack of PP will doom this team against the teams.

I've been quite vocal about my opinion on this team and my explanations why. The 6 game winning streak didn't change my thoughts. I just don't want to keep repeating myself in these GDT's because people say it brings down the mood. Which I understand.

My optimism as you put it, was me just being real. They were playing well in a lot of those games, especially lately and including tonight. I still don't think they're very good. But they're playing well right now.

I get that there are flaws and things that desperately need a fixing (PP, faceoff issues although FO percentages have been a bit better as of late) but to say this team “isn’t very good” is pretty ludacris. Maybe if we were 9-12-2 or 10-10-3 then I’d say, “this team isn’t very good” but, we’re not. We’re 15-8-1 and have 31 of a possible 48 points so far. Tied for 4th most points in the entire league.

Serious and logical question, what does this team need to do for you to change your thinking and suddenly start to say, “this team IS very good” ?

Have a PP that isn’t on pace to be the worst in NHL history. If they were just average you have to think it’s at least 3 more wins.

He had a full year to resolve this, he tried different kind of players, he had that one trick that everyone in the league figured out by the end of the year, and that's it. They are slow, there are no cross passes, they're are not moving enough, there is no threat, or smart quick redirect passes, "d shoot the puck from the blue line and let's hope for rebound". I had enough of him. No one in the league has single digits %, are we really that untalented?

PLD was 7 for 13 in faceoffs... 54 percent not 70 percent. But tonight was his best game in the faceoff dot all year with more than 10 faceoffs.. encouraging.

Establish an identity and keep it throughout the whole team. Are we a skill team? which I think this is what they want, then ditch players like Jenner and Dubinsky, they don't fit. If you want to go back to the 2013-14 jackets of grit and size then trade Panarin. He won't fit on a team like that. I'd say trade bjorkstrand too but he's willing to go to the corners so maybe he could stay.

Acquire a top 6 center. There currently isn't one on the roster and our best center might be a 19 year old. That's both a testiment to PLD's play, and an insult to the rest of the team.

Then of course the powerplay.

It's not far away, like I have said there is some good things here especially on D. But thinking a team this young and flawed can overcome the huge issues at center, on the scoreboard, with the identity, and on the special teams would just be negligent of facts. I understand being a fan and looking at it through CBJ goggles but a spade is a spade.

If bob wasn't playing at a Vezina pace, this team would be around where Carolina is.

I didn't look at the box score. I thought I saw/heard it on FSO (they've never been wrong before lol). Thanks. But yes encouraging.

PLD was the bright spot of the nite. With all the talent on this team, I just don't get why we can't score. We have several skill guys and we have several grit guys. But we are not making it happen. I am not sure why. But to me Larson is the guy who may eventually walk the plank.

Well at this point you absolutely must have a second opinion. If they still "sick" under different treatment that's on them not coach, but you have to try.

PLD was once again over 20 minutes TOI, 7/13 on the dot and named 3rd star of the game.

Everyone else.. Meh.

Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling Zach tries to do to much. I know he's got confidence in himself but he needs to trust some other people on the ice too every once in awhile.

Everyone has their own opinions but I disagree. I thought Zach looked pretty solid tonight. Very engaged.

I just see lots of chances when he gets the puck, opposing players tend to gravitate towards him, leaving others open and it seems like he gets tunnel vision on focuses on getting the shot off when he could dish it to an open guy.
