I picked Duchene finally traded because it was a catalyst in getting Samwise Gerard, getting extra draft picks, and getting younger. And maybe even to an extent, the Mack explosion.

That feeling that Dutchy needed to go but you never even knew if it was ever going to happen because of the lack of trust in Sakic was just tough. Don’t even get me started on the boards. Could you imagine if we had to go a whole year with Dutchy on the team or at least till Deadline and not have something like Girard, etc to look forward to game in and game out.

This is not meant to bash on Dutchy or start another Dutchy fued.

I need this to be a thing around here. It doesn't help that he actually looks like a Hobbit.

My guess is that Bednar wants to get Bourque in the lineup in some fashion. If Yakupov had not scored last game, he might have been the healthy scratch. I personally think Bourque is a limited player that was not playing particularly well before injury/losing spot, but I think he is the kind of player that Bednar would like. Playing Yakupov on a line with Bourque and Toninato seems like a poor fit, but I expect that to happen tonight.

Like I said before, Sven is a prime candidate to be used in a trade this year.

It's increasingly clear now with Duchene gone that he doesn't really have spot in this lineup. He needs to be able to play 3rd string on a line with 2 much better players and with the Landy/Mack/Rants line do as well as it is they wont be split up. And we dont have anyone else yet capable of carrying a line and allowing Sven to be a passenger(A good one) on that line.

I don't like the move, and as everyone well knows, I've defended Bednar more than a bit.

I suppose that now LOOKS more like a 4th line than it did previously, but I've been on record as not being a G. Bourque fan. I don't think his minuses (bad with the puck) are canceled out by his plusses (inconsistent defensive play). Guess we'll see if he and Toninato click.

Andrighetto has been a bit invisible, I'm fine with that though I would've scratched Colin Wilson first.

As for Bednar, every game under him is a write-off and pointless till he goes.

I think Andrighetto will be a good linemate for Jost when hes called back up. Thought he was good last game though. Made alot of plays that bought us time puck possesion wise.

Really don{t understand the Andrighetto scratch. He was by no means bad last game. He's never going to excel defensively, but he is always dangerous with the puck on his stick. I thouhg he was showing some pretty good chemistry with Yakupov.

Bourque is the epitome of meh. Plays hard, hits, skates well, but doesn't seem to have anything resembling a scoring touch. He's a poor man's Blake Comeau, which really isn't saying much.

Putting Bourque in the line up in place of Sven all but guarantees the fourth line won’t produce any offense tonight.

Stupid move. In general, Andrighetto should be with Kerfoot, not Toninato.

Andrighetto has been a passenger for much of this season. He's got 12 points but is a -8 and to be honest, I really haven't noticed him in a positive way this year. Seems like he's been spinning his wheels and just not getting any traction. I have no problems with him being scratched.

Yak has also been scratch worthy lately. Neither are worthwhile in the top six right now and both are kinda useless in the bottom six but for what it's worth, I like Yak better in the bottom six than Sven. I don't mind his hustle and actually enjoyed his physical play since his balls dropped and his moustache came in last week.

Bourque is a good guy to have on a 4th line. He brings speed, tenacity, and PKing. Ghetto is a good player, but he's the odd man out in the top 9 and frankly I'd rather have Bourque on the 4th than a skill player.

As for Yak, I'm fine with him being used as a 4th line PP specialist. Think of him as a younger Iginla with a better shot for 20% of the cost.

Ghetto hasn't looked good since being kicked off the top line. Shouldn't come as a surprise. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets traded to Edmonton for someone on their bottom 6 in all honesty.

If this happens id love to try to get Kassian. Good grit, which we need and can score a bit.

I read that the PK is even better with Bourque in, and the Stars have either the best or 2nd-best power play. So by that rationale, it makes sense. Still don't love this move and I really wish he'd break up that Wilson-Kerfoot-Compher line. It doesn't work.

Inserting Bourque and dropping Ghetto also allows Bendar to solidify a spot for Compher on the 2nd unit PP, as Compher was not getting PP time the last few games since his return.
