I doubt Torts is going to go back to Gagner between Saad and Foligno. Karlsson has done a much better job keeping up with those two.

Torts isn't going to stick with this system if they don't improve coverage. They'll scrap the new system and go back to turtle D. It looks like some guys like Savard just can't play this way.

I suspect some may struggle skillwise with this system, but is there a learning curve issue? And knowing this isn't Torts traditional approach, curious.....is there also a curve for the coaching staff?

I'm sure there is. But Torts has also changed approaches many times in his coaching career. It's not like he's switching away from the doing the same thing for two decades.
