If only the rest of the team was playing as well in front of him.

I know they haven't been dominating teams but saying they aren't playing well is a bit of a stretch. They are 7-1-2 in their last 10, while the goalies are playing well the goalies didnt get them 16 points out of 20 by themselves.

I guess this is the sports team equivalent of first world problems.

The defense has looked like a clown car out there way too often. And specifically, the Pesce-Skjei pairing has had some spectacular gaffs.

There has been mistakes we arent used to seeing, but again 7-1-2 when we arent playing well is nice.

Also just for perspective 6 of those games were against playoff teams and we went 4-1-1 in those.

Pesce is rapidly approaching head-up-ass territory this season. That turnover leading to the 2nd goal last night was atrocious, and something a guy with his experience absolutely should not be doing.

Makes me worry that he's actually regressed with his development right now to the point where he might need to take some time on the 3rd pair to figure some things out without continuing to hurt the team.

the league only tests now if someone is symptomatic. freddie is new to early "spring" in the south. i'm going to assume he just learned he has allergies to local flora, but had to be tested so lyon was called up just in case.

i have nothing to base that on (other than my nose getting a little runny this past week so the timing is there) but since we never heard anything i guess no one can prove i'm anything but 100% correct.

(unless more info came out and i missed it)

Not sure that makes complete sense to me. Wouldn't they know test results ASAP if they tested for symptoms? If allergies drive testing that keeps players out for a few days, the Canes are going to have a lot of players out waiting test results once pollen season starts.

I believe Freddie was in Covid protocol already at the end of December. If so I don’t believe he wouldn’t need to be tested anytime soon

interesting. Usually you have to stay in a market for 5 years or so to get “local” allergies.

Glad Freddie is back!

for the record, i'm 100% just talking out my ass because we didn't ever hear much of anything. and i like bitching about allergies. speaking of which, there's a nice light layer of pollen on the vehicle this morning.
The pollen around here is almost enough to move. I got really into detailing my vehicle a few years back and then pollen season came around. I couldn’t tell you the last time I washed my car
