Best of luck to Frankie. He can easily play 15, 16 mins a night.

Was a mistake of Canucks to let him go. He didn't have the best camp, sure. But he'd paid his dues in the A, had played fine in the bigs before, and was pencilled in to the lineup this year. He was outplayed by Hutton and biega out of training camp, but wasn't worth risking to waivers over scrubs like bartkowksi, weber and Sbisa.

Development has stalled over the past two years, though a large part to carousel of coaching changes. Last year he would get called up to the big club only to sit in the press box for lengthy periods....the same has happened in Toronto. You need to play (whether in the nhl or the minors), to improve your game.
