She is like in her own little world. After reading her tweets I am confident that she isn't married and is definitely single and I think we all know why. Has nothing to do with looks either.

I feel like the people on this board are as obsessed with her as they claim her to be about her brother.

She is the Derek Ryan of fans.

"She criticized the broadcast team! Outrageous! I mean, calling Tripp trash, and saying he's stupid and should be fired at least 5 times in every GDT is okay, but to say something negative about John and Tripp, and on the internet of all places!?!?!?" *swoons and faints to the couch with arm across brow*

You have to admit, it's bat **** crazy for a player to have a family member routinely trashing the organization, including individuals by name, on social media. Especially when said player is absolutely terrible and on an albatross contract.

Every now and then we see an NHL family member make an inadvisable comment in public, but I can't think of another quite like this.

From Hockey Wilderness article in December:

Mike Futa- Futa is currently the Assistant Manager of the Kings. He’s been with the Kings for about 10 years as a Director of Amateur Scouting, Director of Player Personnel, VP of Hockey Operations. He was with Lombardi and promoted by Blake. He also has Juniors front office experience. His playing career was in Denmark and Germany. In the front office, he has worked at some level from Assistant Coach all the way up to Assistant GM, so he knows every position on a team front office. One thing to keep in mind is that the Kings have had some pretty nice prospects come along, have won 2 recent Cups, and Futa is a part of that. He was also up for the Buffalo job last year.

I look at his record of drafting while he was the director of amateur scouting and I'm not too impressed... obviously that's only one part of being a GM though.

If the articles we've read are accurate, not under Dundon it isn't. He said he wants the GM to focus on relationships with other teams, signings, trades and not on the drafting...leave Europe and the draft to the scouts. Clearly the GM will have a say, but in the model I'm seeing in those articles, it's not his main role.

This scares me more than a little. If the GM's role in this new structure is not very involved with the drafting of talent, then I can see a situation where he doesn't see picks as anything but currency for doing his job which is bringing in players to the team from other organizations. Taken to the extreme, that would bring us back to the JR days of trading too many of them away for quick fixes.

Yeah I read that Yzerman is pretty much hands off with the draft so I wouldn't mind that with our new GM as long as he can manage the NHL roster more efficiently than Francis did.
