I'm giving Hakstol the benefit of the doubt until the turnover of the defense is completed.
His system may not be perfect but a lot of the struggles can be attributed to a roster that had MacDonald, Manning, DelZotto,... pencilled in as regulars.

Do we know if Knoblauch will be behind the bench every game?

It hasn't been announced where he will be yet. Hextall is leaving it to Hakstol.
