Speculation: Florida to seek out defenseman to replace Ekblad

Savard is a fit. Won’t cost a premier prospect, experienced but not washed, history of being able to handle big, tough minutes. Obviously won’t replace Ekblad’s offensive ability but can help keep things stable after a seismic injury. And no commitment past this year if the Panthers still like their blueline depth moving forward with Ekblad coming back.
