In Russo's draft guide today, he speculates that the Wild could be very interested in Marc-Andre Fleury to stabilize goaltending for a year or two, allowing Kahkonen/Jones/Robson more time to develop where they should.
Because the Knights have Lehner locked up now, they could look to shed Fleury's contract to make room for Pietrangelo. The Wild could take on Fleury's full hit for two years, but it would make 2021-22 difficult depending on how this season goes for a couple players.
He goes on to speculate (pure conjecture, he clarifies this) that a third team could be involved to take on some of Fleury's cap.
But my questions are:
1) Vegas fans, what can we expect from Fleury if we acquire him? What does he have left, if anything, in the tank?
2) What could a potential deal look like without a third team? What could a potential deal look like with a third team retaining some of Fleury's hit?
