We all know hockey is a game with high variance. You just expect it to eventually even out somewhat. The lack of puck luck after the constant effort to go with when I turn on a Canucks game for example and they routinely score 4 on 15 is deflating as a Flames fan. We can't fault the effort. The same shot tomorrow goes in on a dozen of these. Just a bizarre season we will be happy to forget.

Us dismantling the best team in the league by far while currently losing 2-1 is peak 2022-23 Flames hockey. This bad year/good year/bad year curse is getting out of hand, we are going to win the presidents trophy next season with all the puck luck we are saving up.

Also fun fact, if we received a .900 team save percentage this season and nothing else changed, we would have a goal differential of +27 which is top 10 in the league. If we received last years team save percentage of .913? +49, which is two back of the devils for second place in the NHL. Next year could be a great one once the hockey gods stop smiting us.

It’s not hockey gods smiting us it is a mediocre team being mediocre.

But I am sure our idiot management group will buy into the bad theory and think next year is surely going to be year despite years of evidence.

Wonder what if we have a 10M guy that can win a game for us?

The Flames have awful seasons with the Blasty jerseys but Dube comes alive in them. Decisions, decisions

Okay I'll get excited for a minute. Woooooo. Now 4-2 plz. I'd rather not deal w a one goal home lead...

Nice patience by Huby. But really impressed with Pelletier's game. Honestly seems like the best player on the line more than you'd think.
Absolutely true. Youthful exuberance. He's got what I'd label as controlled chaos. Speedy and energized but plays the right way and without reckless abandon. Love it.
