Most goalies with offers will sign tonight. Would like to have everyone else signed by tomorrow, so if you need a goalie now is the time. Hiller, Nabokov, Bryzgalov, Vokoun and Lindback are the big name goalies without offers yet.

Hope all is well, and that he is ok man. Real life is real life man.

When they transferred him to Ottawa Civic Hospital apparently there wasn't any brain activity so it wasn't looking good at all, but he's actually progressed quite significantly to the point where he was able to move limbs today when the doctors did some tests.

Incredible progress considering the state he arrived at OCH in. He still has a long way to go but progress is progress.

My goodness... that's great news, and hopefully the path ton recovery is a smooth one. Stay strong for your girlfriend, I'm sure she'll be needing your support.

Bob McKenzie : Oilers are not ready for their press conference yet which leads to the speculation that they might not be done.

Almost done with Free Agency here... we'll see what tomorrow has in store with some big names still out there.

---

As an aside.... Geez, Sam Gagner traded for Teddy Purcell and then traded for a 6th (salary retention). Playing as the Oilers in earlier installments, man Gagner was a hard sell to the rest of you. I can live with the Purcell return, feel it was a pretty lateral move, change of scenery type (and I like Gagner more then the rest of you, he'll have a good bounce back season in ARZ). Hoping Purcell can find some spark to his game. He's near automatic producing points, but I'd like more out of a 6'3 frame.

As Dave Bolland agent here, just wanted to say we aren't looking for a 6-7 year deal here.

A good 3-4 yr deal at around 3-3.5 would be good.

:)

David Legwand should have receive offers, Raymond, Goc, Stempniak and Roy aswell...

Mike Cammalleri as a 1yr offer but looking for a long term deal. 4-5 yr

UFA foward last update.

All my guys with offers have signed deals.

Some good talent are still looking for a home. Some guys might be open to signing PTO with teams if there is interest. Would like to get a look at your roster to see if there is a chance the player could crack the lineup.

Hey look, a trade!

[fieldset=TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT: VAN/NYI]

:nucks
  • Brock Nelson
  • Lubomir Visnovsky
  • NYI 3rd 2015

:isles
  • Alex Edler
[/fieldset]

Tough to see Alex Edler go. He is a guy with a tremendous skill set, but we felt like it was time to move on. We are extremely happy with the package of player we received in return. Brock Nelson is a terrific young pivot with the size to compete in the Pacific division. He's a great 2 way player, who we hope to develop into, ironically, a Ryan Kesler type of player. Lubomir Visnovsky is a good, veteran, power play QB and point producer. With one year left on his deal, he will be a good stop gap who we think can help develop the offensive game of guys like Chris Tanev, and rookie Derrick Pouliot.

Always a pleasure dealing with TL

Confirm

A tough price to pay but we really wanted to bring in a Top 4 Blueliner that didn't break the bank price-wise. We loved Edler's game with Christian Ehrhoff back in 2011 and we feel like Matt Donovan can offer a similar playing style out on the ice.

After a quick re-tool of our organization, the Vancouver Canucks will ice a much younger roster, who we still think can compete in the stacked Western Conference. Our system also got a huge influx of young, extremely high potential prospects.
