As it stands now, his current ppg is 4th all-time in QMAAA for a U16 player only behind Lemieux, Daigle, and Turgeon. It would be amazing if he could keep that pace for a whole season.

The two round-robin games against fellow QMAAA teams that each QMAAA plays count as regular season games. Therefore, today's performance counts towards his season's totals.

28 points in his last 10 games...

Is he the best player to heading into the Q since Sid? What are his strengths?

Just scored a goal putting his team up 1 - 0. He has looked very good in the few minutes I've seen. The goal was just a dog pile in front of the net and he got to it first.

i can't imagine a player better than Lafrenière at this point , this kid is amazing

He have anything you want . Better than big prospect 2019 like Parent and Poulin . Better than Veleno at same age

Dosent know prospect out of Qc but now Lafreniere are in other world . 53 pts in 23 games , WOW

Tied 28th all-time for that league in ppg all ages (2.38 ppg).

4th in ppg for U16 behind Lemieux, Daigle and Turgeon. All 1OA in the NHL.

Even if he slows down to 2ppg for the rest of the season, he would finish top4 in scoring for U16.

I think that the hype level is low because few of us have actually seen him play. We can only look at the numbers. As impressive as they are , this does not tell the whole story.

I had the chance to see the last 20 years

Alexis Lafreniere is the best talent during this period. Velano is 14 years old turned 15 years early January, Drouin and many others was very good.

Lafreniere makes these teammates better in addition to scoring goals.

Lafreniere just turned 15 this fall

For those who follow young prospects closely, would you say Lafreniere is the best 2001-born prospect right now? There's a lot of good ones coming out of the WHL and OHL as well but they're mostly 2019 eligible. Could he still be the top prospect if he was eligible for the 2019 draft?

this kid is going to be a superstar....I have watched him a few times now....he has size, amazing skating, great vision and playmaking, awesome hands, super smart, what separates him from other amazing players to put him ahead of them is his poise and ability to see the play a few steps ahead of the rest.

His game will translate well, his size, smarts and skating will assure of success in the future for this guy.

Who does his play style compare too? And also what's his potential level? Who do you guys think will be a better prospect for the future Lafreniere or Rasmus Dahlin? These players seem like the top 2 prospects on the horizon? Also curious to see if anyone has the stats for Lemieux, Turgeon, and Daigle when theu played in this same league?

Well, according to eliteprospects.com, Lemieux had 124 points in 47 games (2.64ppg), Daigle had 110 points in 42 games (2.62 ppg) and Turgeon had 101 points in 41 games (2.46 ppg). Lafreniere has 57 points in 24 games (2.38 ppg). Not too sure if the eras that Lemieux, Daigle, and Turgeon had played in for midget hockey were more higher scoring than today though.
