He's the biggest Douchard ever produced by Quebec. lol.

Not sure how much stock anyone puts in JFresh's stuff. But that's quite a report card for Evan Bouchard. Compared to other Dmen playing top pairing minutes, Bouchard has pretty impressive numbers.

Well, when was the last time the Oilers had a d-man who could put up close to a PPG? Pronger and Souray were probably the best point producers from the back end and they were more in the 50 point range.

If only Evan was mean or big as those two.

well, Pronger was probably the top 3 d-man of his generation, along with Lidstrom and Niedermeyer. And Souray was a legit No.1 for a few seasons in Montreal and Edmonton. But Bouchard is good. He already plays 22 mins a night and is a plus player, not to mention the elite offense.

Bouchard is passing his way outta contention.
Our team has a bad case of overpass-itis. It starts with the captain and Bouch was very bad with it yesterday. Once the streak ends I suspect that the bad habits creeping into our game will be weeded out by the coaching staff.

Always thought Barrie was more a product of the PP's he played on rather than his special play. Not to diminish his talents, but playing on PP's with McKinnon and Rantenen, Matthews and Marner and then McDavid and Draisaitl, that's some decent talent to get those big shots for him and a nice pile of assists.

Bouchard has more points in less games than Roman Josi
Playing with McDavid, Drai and company will do that for you, but he's been very good. And after seeing Josi play yesterday, really made me appreciate even more what a special talent all around he is.

He was pretty good before Edmonton though. Agree with your comment, but his production was still exceptionally high.

Exactly what I meant, playing with McKinnon and Rantenen and then Matthews and Marner.

Unfortunately, Nashville was never really a good fit for him with Josi running the PP there. So he's on the move again soon, hopefully to a team that actually needs a player with his skill set.

Barrie and, too a much lesser extent, Bouchard have their draw backs, but the amount of you who think scoring in the NHL, especially from the blueline, is just a matter of circumstance, as if anyone can just do it, is f***ing absurd.

I think that Bouch was looking kind of run down leading up to the break. He might be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the All-Star break. I just wish that Connor and Leon could miss it and rest up too.

Haven't had a D that could move the puck like Bouch while out against good comp in a very long time. Barrie could do the PP but was not a guy you could trust against good comp at even strength. Just wish we properly managed our cap and had him on an 8 year deal already. We already happily flushed 3.3M of next year's cap down the toilet for Brown. Just needed a little extra space this season.

How does brown count towards 3.3M of next years cap?
