Maybe hell no on that offer but Karlsson and the Avs are a perfect fit IMO and they have the assets to get it done. Kind of infuriating to me that they haven't been rumored because it should be a no brainer.Yeah, how about hell no from Avs POV.
Even if that new team is yours?? (based on your av)
That's more important to them than a good return??
We are talking about the cheapest billionaire on the surface of the planet hereThat's more important to them than a good return??
Per TSN radio live at the arena...
Team might be setting up the big media room upstairs instead of the small setup in front of a banner near the dressing room they usually use for player interviews at training camp for talking with media. EK said he would talk at 1 pm, so Ottawa media is all there waiting.
The suspense...
No, they have set up a media room but everyone is waiting. Saying he is in testing or who knows what. It's more than half past 1pm. Has Erik spoken to media in Ottawa?
They won't trade their best D and a fair chance to get either of Hughes, Kakko, Turcotte, Byram, Cozens etc for EK and an albatross in Ryan, in the process killing their cap flexibility as well.Maybe hell no on that offer but Karlsson and the Avs are a perfect fit IMO and they have the assets to get it done. Kind of infuriating to me that they haven't been rumored because it should be a no brainer.
Why does Ryan have to be included?Does SJ have the cap to take EK and Ryan?
Its only going to be in the big media room because it's EK's turn to interview Melnyk
I don't understand what SJ could offer.
Karlsson + Ryan for Meier, Lebanc, 2020 1st, 2 2019 2nds ?

Avs are a terrible fit.
They are an amazing fit for Ottawa as a trade partner but not vice versa.
Avs are 12 months away from finishing with 48 points and have a very young team that overachieved last year by quite a bit and play in the hardest division by quite a bit.
Turning around now and sacrificing the assets they have painfully accumulated over the last couple of years to bring in a 28 year old star player who will demand 12M+ while not really fitting their cores window as well as their team needs (Avs strength right now is arguably right handed offensive minded Ds in their system) does not make much sense.
Avs have to just stand pat and rely on next years draft to help them solve their major issues. That Ottawa pick as well as their own 1st will probably play a crucial role in how this rebuild works out for them this time.
They should stay the hell away from EK (who probably has 0 interest in re-signing with a team like the Avs anyways..)
Does SJ have the cap to take EK and Ryan?
Tierney, Meier, Merkley, 1st 2019, FLR 2nd rd 2019
fair?
Why else does OTT trade with SJ? They have nothing to offer...Why does Ryan have to be included?
