Damn, so wanted a win tonight to really up Leafs chances of moving on, but these two teams are both equally good in different ways.

Don't think the Leafs played a poor game either, just didn't go their way.

Loved the scare of tying it up at the end at least.

I'm sure you think so, because of the victory. But it terms of playoff games? This was a Saturday in January game, it seemed to lack a lot of what the other series are doing.

Certainly not at even strength... I feel like that isn't even debatable.

At even strength, Boston had 2.88 expected goals and Toronto had 2.49. Toronto controlled the share of shots which is to be expected in a game that they were chasing for ~45 minutes, but they played pretty awful defense.

EDIT: Okay, expected goals are heavily driven by the EN goal at the end. But I still thought Boston was the better team. Toronto simply didn’t defend well enough to complain about the result of this one.
