The cap hit is what it should be IMO.

I've been hard on Dwight before, but I've come to appreciate him a little more. He's a big man with deceptively soft hands that serve him well along the boards and in front of the opposition's net.

He plays a very conservative and methodical game (in a good way), but when he's not scoring, he rarely provides any sort of spark. He also has relatively poor skating acceleration and is ineffective in the open ice.

Like I said before: he's boring.

People can bring up why they dislike him but, in the end, it's because he is boring that some want him gone for the excitement of someone new from Manchester because just the thought of someone else is more exciting than watching King play hockey. Hell, his fights against Crombeen and Stewart were so boring that I almost stopped liking hockey fights.

He's effective. Good signing in my opinion.

The fight against Crombeen was pretty good actually. I don't think he fought Stewart, did he? I'm thinking it was Reaves. King did a hell of a job hanging on to Reaves imo. ;)

edit: yep, it was Reaves. He actually did better than I had thought.

My only real knock on King is I wish he was more physical. He doesn't have to be a big bruiser but he has such a big frame he should be a little more gritty in the corners. He is still an effective player even if he is frustrating to watch at times. Plus his name is King and plays on the Kings. Can't let him go for that reason alone.
Yes, especially the last sentence.

The people who were screaming for Penner need to realize that Dwight is a better player in every facet of the game, especially heart.
