He and some Michigan coworkers definitely have a friendly rivalry. Plus I once mistakenly though he was from Mich and you would have thought I kicked a puppy...could just be him though lolHe may not be biased. Michigan and Wisconsin don’t really have a traditional rivalry, neither sports or non- sports.
Michigan and Ohio do as does Wisconsin and Illinois.
Gotcha. I’m sure there’s some rivalry among some. The two states have different economies, the biggest sports rivalry of Michigan is OSU(albeit, a one sided rivalry these days), the Packers biggest rivalry is the Bears and Wisconsin residents have done pretty derogatory terms for Illinois residents. He and some Michigan coworkers definitely have a friendly rivalry. If I read that prior post correctly, NJ set the market early and the agent was telling other teams to match it. I think no other teams wanted him @ $9m x 7.
mining companies recruited Finns to work in the mines because they had heard the Finns were hard workers in mines in Norway. I believe there were almost 100,000 Finns residing in the area at the peak of mining in that area. When they came to the Ellis Island they told they want the best lake you got.

100,000 may not seem like a lot, but that area probably has a population of only 300,000 today.
Yep. Houghton also has a D1 hockey team. Can confirm, one of the hospitals i do remote support for is in the booming metropolis of Houghton, about half the names i come across from tickets from there are names like Jokinen, Ruotsala, etc.
I myself, as an Ohio State alum, agree.

Make it bold, italic, 24-point font and we'll get your message. While valid, I only say that in person so I can put the proper exaggeration on the tone of "THE". Posting online undersells it, even with italics.
