goalie statery
Well we've got what 1.65m wrapped up in net minder salary? That's what many wanted here - could be you do actually get what you pay for. Here's hoping Raanta excels above paygrade.
I guess that answers the alternate history question on Chad Johnson as well

It seems gsaa/60 is the new standard and the best measure of goalie comparison available. Read up on it.
Like all stats, it's strongly influenced by how the team in front of the goalie performs. The chart doesn't really correlate well with skill, although Domingue is where he should be. Literally just how far someone is from the league average.
Looks like the Pens could use some goalie help. Losing to the Jets 7-1.
If Louis Domingue were playing in net for the Penguins tonight it would be 12-1 instead of 7-1.
The claim is that it's the best metric for reducing your concern.

Are you saying you don't like the adjGSAxGA/60 either?
Fortunately, his contract expires this year. Can't imagine we'll qualify him.Louie clears. Nobody wants that bum for free.
I hope we try to trade him now. Maybe someone will take him if we take back a contract.
There is no space for him with the Coyotes and Hill and Miska deserve to play in Tucson.
